From first splash, to life long skills!
Henderson Harbor Water Sports Programs (HHWSP) is dedicated to promoting learning, safety, and fun on and in the water, while creating a positive impact on our students, our community, and our environment.
Each summer, from late June through mid-August, HHWSP offers three sessions of one- and two-week programs designed for a wide range of ages and skill levels. Our programs include Swimming (ages 3 and up), NYS Safe Boating (ages 10 and up), Water-Based STEM (ages 5 and up), and Sailing for ages 5 through adult. All programs emphasize safety, confidence, and hands-on learning in a supportive and engaging environment.
HHWSP is proud to partner with the Henderson–Ellisburg Recreation Program to offer a five-week joint summer program. This collaboration introduces Summer Recreation participants to essential skills such as drown proofing, water safety, boating safety, basic boating skills, and water-based STEM education.
Beyond our summer programming, HHWSP remains active throughout the year by promoting boating and water safety at local community events, helping to ensure a safer and more informed waterfront community.
